Autism gala set for Saturday
at Goodlet Manor
Live music, dancing, a silent auction and more are on the schedule for Comcast’s Tupelo Holiday Autism Gala.
The gala is at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Goodlet Manor in Tupelo.
Tickets are $25, and proceeds directly benefit the Autism Center of Tupelo, the region’s only agency providing low-cost services to children with autism.

Alabama Shakes brings rowdy live show to Blue Canoe
A few weeks ago, the band members were still working day jobs. Last week, Adele was singing their praises on her blog. The Alabama Shakes is one of the most talked-about bands right now, and the group is performing at the Blue Canoe at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Nunsense Christmas musical comes to Magnolia Civic Center
The Tallahatchie River Players are presenting the Nunsense Christmas musical, “Nuncrackers.”
The musical tells the story of the nuns as they produce their first TV special taped in their cable access studio. The show includes classic Nunsense humor, Christmas carols and a “Secret Santa” audience participation.
The show is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday at the Magnolia Civic Center. Tickets are $10.

ICC presents musical Christmas Gala on Tuesday
Itawamba Community College’s Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Jazz Band and Wind Band will all perform at the music department’s Christmas Gala.
The show is at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Davis Event Center on the Fulton campus.
