Old-time favorites in dulcimer show
Traditional songs, gospel music and bluegrass are all part of the North Mississippi Dulcimer Association’s show at the Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center.

The performance is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday and is free.

Art, culture exhibits at Oren Dunn Museum
The Mississippi Painters Society art exhibit is currently on display at the Oren Dunn City Museum in Tupelo. It’s up through Aug. 24.

A new exhibit, Glimpses in Japanese Culture, is up through Aug. 31.

Admission is $3/adults, $2/seniors, $1.50/ages 4-12 and free for kids 4 and under.

Gospel documentary screening tonight
Musician Tyler Keith is screening his documentary, “Jesus is My Rock: A Celebration of Music from Oxford and Lafayette Co., MS” tonight at the Powerhouse in Oxford.

The screening starts at 7 p.m. and is free.

Donations will be accepted to support the Burns-Belfry Museum & Multicultural Center and the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council.

Last Folk Art on the River set for next weekend
The final Folk Art on the River is next weekend in New Albany.

Folks can enjoy bluegrass, compete in an art competition, try yoga and more at the Biscuits and Jam Farmers’ Market. There are kids’ events, including arts and crafts and storytelling.

In addition to the farmers selling their locally-grown foods, artists will have their work for sale.

It’s free. It’s 7 a.m.-noon Aug. 10.
