‘Faces of the World’ exhibit
ends next week at GumTree
Southern Light Photography’s latest exhibit, “Faces of the World,” will be up at the GumTree Museum of Art through August.
Photographers in the Tupelo-based Southern Light took more than 500 images of faces all over the world.
The GumTree Museum of Art is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. It’s free to see the exhibit.

‘Jaws’ jumps back
on the big screen
The Cinemark Classic series kicks off tonight with “Jaws.”
Cinemark Movies 8 is hosting a classic movie series that includes “High Noon,” “Doctor Zhivago,” “China Town,” “The Bridge on the River Kwai” and “The African Queen.”
“Jaws” screens today at 2 and 7 p.m.
It’s $8.25/adult evening or $6.50/children and seniors or adult matinee.

Young Buffalo to play
hometown show at Proud Larry’s
Indie rock band Young Buffalo has played all over the country, but the guys have a hometown gig this weekend.
The band is releasing a new EP in early October.
Young Buffalo will perform at Proud Larry’s on Friday. Child Star opens and the show starts at 9:30 p.m.
Tickets are $8.
It’s an 18 and up show.
