Ole Miss’s student-run theatre organization, Ghostlight Repertory Theatre, is hosting a comedy night on Friday at the Powerhouse in Oxford.

‘Gone With the Wind’ to screen at The Lyric next week
Scarlett, Rhett, Melanie and Ashley will grace the big screen at The Lyric in Tupelo next week.
A Southern Affair on Broadway will feature a screening of “Gone With the Wind.” The evening kicks off at 5 p.m. Sept. 6 with refreshments, a cash bar of “Gone With the Wind”-inspired drinks, a trivia competition, Lyric tours and giveaways. The movie begins at 7 p.m.
The screening celebrates TCT’s production of “Moonlight & Magnolias,” a play about the making of “Gone With the Wind,” which will be Sept. 27-29.
Movie tickets are $10.

Upcoming Tennessee River Run features music, tournaments
Darryl Worley’s Tennessee River Run brings David Lee Murphy, John Anderson, Badfinger and Black Oak Arkansas to Savannah, Tenn.
The two-day event features concerts and a golf tournament. There will be a songwriters’ event and a battle of the bands, as well as a motorcycle poker run, youth fishing tournament and an arts and crafts fair.
The dates for the events are Sept. 14-15.
Tickets are $30/until day of show and $35/day of show.
