March Madness in full swing
at West of Shake Rag show
Tupelo’s own improv comedy troupe, West of Shake Rag, hits the stage at the Link Centre this weekend for its March Madness show.
The team brings the laughs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Cadillac Funk, George McConnell
celebrate Blue Canoe anniversary
George McConnell and the Nonchalants and the Cadillac Blues Band will perform at the Blue Canoe this weekend, in celebration of the venue’s one-year anniversary.
McConnell takes the stage at 9 p.m. Friday, while Cadillac Funk performs at 9 p.m. Saturday. Both shows have a $5 cover.
The music kicks off this weekend with Vinyl Dust tonight at 8:30, and that show is free.

Documentary to screen
at Link Centre on Saturday
The award-winning documentary “For the Bible Tells Me So” will get two showings in Tupelo this weekend.
The film will be shown at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at the Black Box Theatre at the Link Centre.
Both screenings, hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Tupelo, are free.
The 2007 documentary explores homosexuality’s perceived conflict with religion.

Ole Miss Concert Singers, orchestra to perform Bach piece at Ford Center
Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Mass in B Minor” will be performed by the University of Mississippi Concert Singers with orchestra and soloists tonight at the Ford Center.
“Mass in B Minor” is considered the greatest choral-orchestral work ever composed.
Showtime is 7 p.m., and tickets are $29/orchestra/parterre and $21/mezzanine/balcony.
