Oxford’s own Dead Gaze has a gig tonight at Proud Larry’s. A self-titled compilation of the best tracks from his back catalogue was released earlier this year on FatCat Records.

Get glowsticks ready for colorful glow party
Memphis DJ Gutta Kick headlines a glow party in Tupelo on Saturday night. Haywire, Se7en Sound, Ben Ricketts and Senthol will also DJ.
The show is set for 8 p.m. at Good Time Charlie’s. It’s $10, and all ages.

Blues, reunion show all set for Blue Canoe
Mississippi music rules at Blue Canoe this weekend.
Garry Burnside performs on Friday, with Rooster Blues performing on Saturday. Both set times are at 9 p.m., and each show is just $5.
Next weekend, Tupelo band Ironwood Bluff will reunite for its first show in a long while.
The band takes the stage at 9 p.m. May 31. It’s $5.

Summer Sunset Series begins next weekend
Catch a concert every week at the Grove on the Ole Miss campus this summer. Each Sunday in June, a different band will take to the stage in the Grove.
Michael Worthy and the Mississippians will perform June 2; the Bays/Guyer Band will perform June 9; Jeff Calloway performs June 16; Moonstone and Friends performs June 23, and the Minor Adjustments wrap up the series on June 30.

Learn editing at OxFilm workshop
Filmmakers, learn more about editing at a workshop presented by OxFilm.
The workshop will be hosted by Matthew Graves and focuses on Adobe Premiere and Final Cut, as well as a broad look at non-linear editing software.
The workshop is set for 1-5 p.m. June 1 at the Oxford Enterprise Center. It’s $15/OxFilm members and $25/non-members.
