Summer Party
Members of Tupelo Community Theatre’s Lyric Krewe, invite everyone to take part in the “Music, Monet and Margaritas” fundraiser from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.
Saturday at the Lyric Theatre on Broadway Street.

Corvettes will hit the road on Sunday
The Tupelo Automobile Museum’s “Corvette Summer” exhibit will be on display until Saturday.

Workshop will cover acting, dancing, more
A musical theater workshop for ages 4 to kindergarten will run from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday at Tupelo Academy of Dance Arts.
First-grade students will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. The workshop will focus on singing, dancing and acting, and the fee is $125.

Mathus, others will perform at festival today, Saturday
Jimbo Mathus will present “Mosquitoville,” a collection of stories about Mississippi and its myths.
The show will be staged at 7 p.m. today at the Lyric Theatre on Oxford, and tickets are $10.
It’s part of the Oxford Rhythm Revival, which will continue at 7 p.m. Saturday on the Oxford Square. There will vendors, artists and musicians. Tickets for Saturday are $15/at today’s Lyric event or $20/at the gate.

Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ coming to Ford Center
The Oxford Shakespeare Festival will feature “Hamlet” at 8 p.m. Saturday at the University of Mississippi’s Ford Center for the Performing Arts.
