TSO welcomes violinist to open 2010-11 season
– The Tupelo Symphony Orchestra will open its 2010-11 season with help from violinist Natasha Korsakova.
The performance will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Link Centre Concert Hall in Tupelo. Tickets are $20/advance, $25/door and $10/students.

Palomino horse shows coming to Agri-Center
– The Heart of Dixie Palomino Exhibitors Association will present four horse shows this weekend.
The events will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Lee County Agri-Center. There’s no admission. Call (662) 871-1976 or (601) 214-3043.
Riley to discuss Elvis Chickasaws, genealogy
– Pontotoc County Library will feature a lecture by Julian Riley at 7 p.m. today.
He’ll discuss the Chickasaw Indians, genealogy and Elvis Presley.

Teens, adults will share stories, songs at museum
– Get into a spooky mood at 6 p.m. Friday, when the North Mississippi Storytellers Guild will share ghostly tales and songs under the bodock tree at the L.Q.C. Lamar Museum in Oxford.
Telling Teens will join the tellers to showcase stories learned in workshops by master storyteller Rebecca Jernigan.
