TUPELO – The Elvis Presley Birthplace will give thanks for the fans this weekend.
The birthplace will host its annual Fan Appreciation on Saturday, a week before the 37th anniversary of Elvis’ death.
Fan Appreciation Day begins at 10:45 a.m. at the birthplace with speakers, including Mayor Jason Shelton and Blair Hill, assistant director at the birthplace.
St. Mark United Methodist Church will sell lunch at the birthplace.
Kay Bain will entertain in the theater starting at 1 p.m., followed by Elvis tribute artist David Lee at 3 p.m.
Lee won the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist preliminary competition at the Tupelo Elvis Festival in 2012, and also won at the Branson Elvis Festival in 2013 and 2014.
Fan Appreciation Day is free.
