TUPELO – Debbie Thornton, author of “Any Blonde Can Cook” and three other cookbooks, will be at Rosie’s on Thursday to sign cookbooks from 3 to 5 p.m.
Thornton will also share her testimony at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
Thornton, who lives in Flowood, met Rosie’s owner Rose McCoy at a market expo in Biloxi last month.
“She kept walking by with her friend and I could tell she wasn’t my typical customer,” Thornton said. “I let her take a book back to the motel to read and the next day she came back and said she wanted to sell them in her store.
“I knew God had sent Rose and her friend to me. I just felt a sense of peace with them and I felt like I needed to be in her store. That’s why I’m coming to Tupelo.”
Rosie’s is located in downtown Tupelo at 108 E. Main St.
Seating is limited for the testimonial, so call (662) 844-3280 to reserve your spot.
