The Starlites of New Albany will celebrate their 27th anniversary with a concert at 7:30 p.m. today at the Ripley District Building in Ripley. Guests include Gospel Aires, Spiritual Travelers, Great Wings of Joy, Stars of Faith, Southern Travelers, Golden Echoes of Tupelo, Wings of Glory of Bolivar, Tenn., Soul Consolators of Oxford and Amazing Grace of Tupelo. The Starlites of New Albany will celebrate their 27th anniversary with a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Union County Fairgrounds. Guests will be Angelic Voices, Turner Sisters, New Magnolia Jubilees, Holy Voices, Sanders Brothers, Gospelaires, Christian Crusaders, Celestrial Nightingales, Gospel Warriors of Bruce, Brown Singers of Memphis and Gospel Lites of Bruce. Ronnie Page will be in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Parkway Baptist Church in Houston. Page is a former singer with the Oak Ridge Boys and the Chuck Wagon Gang, and was recently inducted into the Gospel Music Association’s Hall of Fame in Nashville. The Mississippi Baptist All-State Youth Choir and Orchestra will be at West Heights Baptist Church of Pontotoc at 7 p.m. Monday. This special choir is made up of 111 9th-12th graders from churches throughout Missisisippi. Pontotoc is the only city in North Mississippi where the choir will be singing this year. Dr. Richard Joiner of Mississippi College is the director. David Young of William Carey College and instrumental consultant for the Church Music Department at the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board, will direct the orchestra. Fundraisers

There will be a benefit for Miranda Starling Dill at 10 a.m. July 14 at the National Guard Armory in Fulton. There will be gospel singing, food, a fish fry, barbecue, a cake walk, face painting, an auction, a drawing for prizes and more. Dill, the 13-year-old daughter of Terry Paul and Brenda Dill, has Gardener’s Syndrome, a rare, inherited disorder. She will undergo three surgeries in Cleveland, Ohio, beginning Aug. 17, to prevent colon cancer. She and her family will be in Cleveland for three months. The Mt. Pleasant Tupelo youth department will have a fish fry at 11 a.m. July 14 at the home of W.C. and Lerine Brim. A fish plate will be $5, and a fish sandwich will be $2.50. Vacation Bible School

The Lane Chapel CME Church Christian Enrichment Program will continue through July 13. Sessions are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. The program, which is open to students in grades 4-8, is free.
