Music, Monet and Margaritas set for this weekend
The 10th annual street fiesta, Music, Monet and Margaritas, is 7:30 p.m. Saturday in front of The Lyric on Broadway Street in Tupelo.
The Jam Band will perform and there will be a silent auction of local artists’ work. Outback Steakhouse will provide food.
Tickets are $25, and that includes food and your first drink.

Dance workshops begin next week in Tupelo
The Tupelo Academy of Dance Arts is offering summer dance workshops.
Classes will be offered in ballet, pointe, partnering, hip-hop, contemporary, strength and stretch, and musical theater dance, taught by guest instructors.
The classes are the weeks of June 17, July 8 and 15, and there are classes for students in grades third and up as well as adult.

Tupelo’s improv comedy troupe, West of Shake Rag, hosts an evening of laughs tonight at the Link Centre’s Black Box Theatre.

Movies, music series begins this weekend in Avent Park
The Movies and Music in the Park series kicks off Friday night in Avent Park in Oxford.
Jon McLeod and Kevin Guyer will perform at about 7 p.m. Friday, followed by a screening of “Little Giants” at dark.
The next event is June 28, with Love Cannon performing and a screening of “Madagascar 3.”
“Jumanji” will screen on July 12, with Donovan McCain performing.
Buki will perform on July 26, followed by a screening of “The Princess and the Frog.”
