Mother Superior (Cheryl Sproles) and Sister Julia, Child of God (Jan Soltz) try selling a heavenly cookbook in Corinth Theatre-Arts’ production of “Nunsense: The Mega-Musical Version.”

In the musical comedy, a convent must find interesting ways to pay for the funerals of four sisters after one nun accidentally poisons them.

“Nunsense” hits the stage at Crossroads Playhouse at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Rides, games, music, more at Tupelo SummerFest

Twenty big rides, a white tiger show, games, music and fair food is all on the schedule for the 2013 Tupelo SummerFest.

The fair will be open tonight-Sunday at the Tupelo Furniture Market.

Tonight is $1, with entry and rides costing just a buck.

Jamie Davis and Soul Gravy performs at 7 p.m.

Hours are 10 a.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday, with white tiger shows, bands and wrestling on the schedule.

Hours are noon-8 p.m. Sunday.

Admission Friday-Sunday is $8/adults, $5/ages 12 and under and free/4 and under. Wristbands are $20.

Sweet sounds at monthly duclimer concert in Tupelo

The North Mississippi Dulcimer Association will play gospel, old-time favorites and bluegrass on the dulcimer at its monthly show at the Visitors Center on the Natchez Trace in Tupelo.

The show is 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and it’s free.

Tupelo Americana band Ironwood Bluff will reunite for a gig at the Blue Canoe this weekend.

The group performs at 9 p.m. Friday.
