Easton Corbin to perform at Union County Fair

NEW ALBANY – In the middle of a carnival, watermelon-eating contest and barnyard scramble, there’ll be some country music.
Country star Easton Corbin has a gig at this year’s Union County Fair. The fair kicks off this weekend and lasts through all next week. Corbin, who’s had hits like “Lovin’ You Is Fun,” “Roll With It,” and “A Little More Country Than That,” performs Tuesday.
“We have as much fun as we do at an arena as we do at a county fair,” Corbin said in a phone interview from Nashville. “A county fair takes it back home – I grew up showing cattle, so it’s reminiscent of that a little bit.”
The Florida native hit it big with his self-titled first album, and he’s scoring hits off of his new record, “All Over the Road.”
He has at least one more single to release from that album before he goes back into the studio to record a third album, he said.
Until that happens, he’s having fun out on the road – he’s about to go on tour with Blake Shelton – and catching up with fans on social media.
“I’m on Twitter, on Facebook, so check all of that stuff out. I’m on there all the time, and I love to talk to (fans),” he said.
Interacting with fans, either on stage or online, is “why we’re here,” he said.
On stage, Corbin said, “We have a good time. We get the crowd into it. We love for the crowd to participate as much as possible.”
Corbin invites all country music fans to check him out at the Union County Fair.
“If you like good ole country music, come out,” he said. “I promise you’ll have a good time. That’s what we do.”
