Mississippi musicians to perform for MSU fans

By Sheena Barnett

Mississippi State Fans can get a taste of home when they attend the Music City Bowl next week.

A host of Mississippi musicians who now live in Nashville are performing at The Listening Room on Dec. 29, the night before the game.

The evening begins with a mixer at 6 p.m., followed by Jordyn Mallory, John Milstead and Lindsey Lee at 7 p.m. Mallory is from Okolona, Milstead is from Tupelo and Lee is a Hattiesburg native.

Madison and Michael Hardy, both of Philadelphia, and Zach Logan of Newton will perform at 8:30 p.m.

Starkville’s Nash Street performs at 10 p.m.

The Listening Room is located at 209 10th Ave. South Suite 200.

“A lot of us don’t always get to come home a lot and play, so we’re really excited to get to play in Nashville for our friends coming to town for the Music City Bowl,” Mallory said. “We’re expecting a big turnout and we hope everybody has a lot of fun at the show.”
