Just got word this morning that country star Miranda Lambert’s new band, the Pistol Annies, will make an appearance at the singer’s concert at the BancorpSouth Arena next Thursday.
Here’s the press release:
Organizers have announced that the Pistol Annies will make a special appearance September 22nd at the BancorpSouth Arena during the Tupelo stop on Miranda Lambert’s Revolution Continues tour. The new female trio featuring Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley, and Ashley Monroe have been creating a huge buzz across the country ever since their live debut last April on the ABC special, Women of Country. Their focus and title track “Hell on Heels” is in the Top 20 of the digital country song charts and gaining fans across the country. And after many hours in the studio the trio’s CD of the same name, debuted at #1 on the country chart.
The Pistol Annies have been making serious music together for years and Miranda Lambert is not shy about the inspiration she receives from her band mates. “We have chemistry as friends, we have chemistry on stage, and we have chemistry in our writing,” says Miranda. “It’s one of my favorite times on set because I get to step into a different role. These girls needed to be in the spotlight a long time ago.”
What began on a whim in Miranda’s cabin two Novembers ago has become a musical endeavor near and dear to each “Annies” heart. Fans aren’t going to want to miss the Pistol Annies on stage at BancorpSouth Arena, September 22nd as the reigning ACM Female Vocalist of the Year, Miranda Lambert brings her Revolution Continues Tour to Tupelo with special guest, Justin Moore and Randy Rogers Band.
2011 has been a busy year for Miranda. In addition to bringing home the ACM honor for Female Vocalist of the Year, her critically acclaimed hit, “The House That Built Me” was also recognized for Single of the Year and Video of the Year. The Revolution continues. Following the success of “White Liar” and “Only Prettier,” Miranda’s newly released single, “Heart Like Mine,” has soared to the top of the charts reaching the #1 position on the day she married long-time partner, Blake Shelton.
All of Miranda’s success has left her with an overwhelming sense of responsibility to deliver a live show even better than the one she was already known for. Country fans will witness that commitment as Lambert hits the road with her Revolution Tour.
“Having that Texas club circuit experience at an early age and also touring with some of the best in the business for several years, I know what it takes to bring it every night and give fans more than their money’s worth,” says Lambert.
Justin Moore will be heating up the stage with his recent #1 hit, “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away.” Having come a long way since his days in Poyen, AR, population 300, Justin has been taking country music by storm since the release of his self-titled album in 2008. Hits such as, the #1 “Small Town USA”, “Backwoods”, reaching #6, “How I Got to Be This Way”, #17 and “Back That Thing Up”, #38, have made Justin a true country music contender.
The Randy Rogers Band reached #2 with its latest album, Burning the Day. For nearly a decade the band has toured the country, performing with a who’s who of country music. And they are bound to burn up the stage opening the show for Miranda Lambert.
The Revolution Tour will be in full swing when Miranda Lambert and the Pistol Annies hit the stage at the BancorpSouth Arena on Thursday, Sept. 22nd, 2011 with special guest, Justin Moore and the Randy Rogers Band.
