Farmers’ market hosts Halloween contest

TUPELO – Children in elementary school or younger will have a chance to show off their Halloween style in a Costume Contest and Carnival on Saturday.
The free event, held at the Tupelo Farmers’ Market on South Spring Street, will take place from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
At 10 a.m., one lucky child will win a bicycle donated by Toys “R” Us.
The costume contest will begin at 10:30 a.m. and prizes will be awarded for the top three costumes.
The first 50 children to register will receive a goody bag.
Late season fruits and vegetables will be available for sale from local vendors as well as homemade baked goods, canned goods and fall decorations.
