‘Home Run’ movie a grand slam in Tupelo

According to the movie’s sponsor, Christian recovery program Celebrate Recovery, “Home Run” the movie was the most viewed movie in Tupelo last weekend, drawing nearly 1,600 moviegoers, and was the third most viewed movie in the theaters in which it was shown.
Receiving strong positive reactions from college and Major League Baseball players, as well as church leaders across the denominational spectrum, the film was held over to play through this weekend at Tupelo’s Malco Cinema.
The PG-13 movie tells the story of a pro ball player with a substance abuse problem, who is forced into rehab when his antics get him suspended from the team.
