In the Arena 3/6

BY TODD HUNT New month, new blog location. Welcome to my first Scene Now blog effort. I wish I could tell you that it will be the best thing you’ve ever read, but that would be a stretch. Here we go… On tap for this weekend is the annual Winter Jam concert on Sunday. Last year we turned people away at the door as we were filled to capacity. If you plan on attending this year, I suggest arriving early to ensure a seat in the venue. If weather permits feel free to tailgate in the parking lots all afternoon. Don’t be surprised if I stop by with an empty plate, though! Other upcoming events include the Harlem Globetrotters on March 16, the Broadway musical Cats on April 2, and Alan Jackson with Jimmy Wayne on April 16. In honor of our new blog location I have decided to add a new feature: the song of the week. Sometimes it might be related to events we have in the building; other times it will just be whatever’s stuck in my head while I type. The song for this week is “When The Levee Breaks” by Led Zeppelin. Why that song? I can’t get the drum beat out of my head. Of course it’s been stuck there for about thirty years so I don’t think it will be leaving anytime soon… Until next time, Todd
