Fried Green Tomatoes
4 large green tomatoes, sliced
1 cup self-rising flour
14 cup sugar
14 cup corn meal
12 cup vegetable oil
Soak tomatoes in ice water and drain. Sift flour, sugar and corn meal in a shallow dish. Coat tomatoes on both sides with flour mixture. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.

Chocolate Chess Pie
112 cups sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
2 eggs, beaten
12 stick butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (5-ounce) can evaporated milk
1 (9-inch) pie shell, unbaked
Powdered sugar or Cool Whip

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sugar, cocoa, eggs, butter, vanilla and milk and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until pie doesn’t shake.
For topping, sprinkle with powdered sugar or serve with a dollop of Cool Whip.

Banana Pound Cake
Cake
1 box yellow cake mix
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
4 eggs
12 cup oil
3 ripe bananas

Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 banana, mashed

Combine cake mix, pudding, eggs, oil and bananas in a bowl and beat with a mixer about 3 minutes. Pour batter into a greased Bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. When the cake has cooled, combine the glaze ingredients and pour over the cake.

Peach Cobbler
1 stick margarine
2 cups sugar, divided
1 cup self-rising flour
1
12 teaspoons baking powder
34 cup milk
1
34 cups sliced peaches
Melt butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Mix 1 cup sugar with the flour, baking powder and milk and pour over butter. Do not stir. Spoon peaches and juice on top. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup of sugar over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Barbecue Chicken
1 whole chicken fryer
Flour
Salt and pepper
Boiling water
12 cup vinegar
Hot pepper
1 stick butter, cut up

Coat chicken in flour, salt and pepper and place in a pan. Pour boiling water over chicken to cover. Add vinegar and hot pepper to taste. Place pats of butter over chicken. Bake at 350 to 400 degrees until done.

Beef Roast
1 (4- to 5-pound) beef roast
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 can water
1 bottle Tiger Sauce or other hot sauce

Put roast in a pot of water and cook until tender. Remove from water and place in a baking dish. Combine soup, water and hot sauce and pour over roast. Cook in oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Southern Pecan Pie
3 eggs
12 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
14 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 stick margarine, melted
1 cup chopped pecans
1 unbaked pie crust

Combine eggs, sugar, corn syrup, salt, vanilla, margarine and pecans and pour into unbaked pie crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
