Mississippi author to speak at Lenten Luncheon Series

Renowned Mississippi author, civil rights activist and Baptist minister the Rev. Will Campbell will be the guest speaker Wednesday for the Lenten Luncheon Series at Oxford-University United Methodist Church, 424 South 10th Street.
The author of numerous books about religion and life in the South, Campbell, a native of Amite County, is perhaps best known for his autobiographical work, “Brother to a Dragonfly.”
The speaker on Apr. 6 will be former Governor William Winter.
The luncheon series is free to the public and will start at noon in the church’s Activities Center.
