Lots happening this weekend…

  • Alan Jackson is at the BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo tonight. Show kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
  • In Starkville, this weekend is Super Bulldog Weekend, the Cotton District Arts Festival and the Old Main Music Festival. Whew! Check out today’s Journal for a story on Darius Rucker, who’s headlining Old Main.
  • Neither M. Scott Morris or Kelli Karlson cared for “Observe & Report.” But, who knows, you may find a few laughs. It’s playing in theaters now.
  • Trust Company, Dead Set, Augie May, Silent Haze and A Broken Method have a show at Good Time Charlie’s in Tupelo Saturday.
  • At Thacker Mountain Radio this week, you can hear music by the Mayhem String Band and Pat Thomas, and hear a few stories by Kevin Wilson and Alan Huffman.
  • Lord T & Eloise and Al Kapone are at State Theatre in Starkville tonight.
  • Dance your bum off at The Lyric Oxford Saturday. The venue is hosting an 80s video dance party. On Monday, the venue will screen the Wilco film “Ashes of American Flags.”
  • Check out the Thomas Jackson Orchestra on Friday at Boondocks in Tupelo. Come On Go With Us will be there Saturday.
