‘Secret Church’ to be shown on Nov. 4

By NEMS Daily Journal

Fans of young phenom the Rev. David Platt and those interested in spreading the gospel in countries where Christianity is persecuted will enjoy the upcoming presentation of “Secret Church.”
The six-hour program on Nov. 4 will be broadcast from The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham.
Platt, author of the bestseller “Radical,” will lead a focused Bible study which will include a look at what Christians are doing in missions throughout the world. The marathon session duplicates what millions of Christians do each week when they gather in secret to avoid persecution, according to the Rev. Tim Hester, pastor First Baptist Church in Pontotoc, whose church will show the “Secret Church” broadcast from 6 p.m. until midnight. Admission is free. Study guides are $5 and can be purchased at the church.
The Church at Trace Crossing, a Southern Baptist congregation in Tupelo, will also host the broadcast. Attendees are encouraged to call in advance to Trace Crossing (662) 791-7858 and Pontotoc First Baptist (662) 489-1346.
