The bride-elect is a graduate of Saltillo High School. She attended Northeast Mississippi Community College. She is an employee of American Eagle Outfitters in Tupelo.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Tupelo High School. He earned an A.A. degree in accounting at Northeast Mississippi Community College, and B.A. degrees in both accounting and general business at Mississippi State University. He was a member of Who's Who, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., Black Student Alliance, Association of Black Business Professionals and NAACP. He is an internal representative for Wellcare Inc. in Marietta, Ga.

Myers-Forsyth

Mr. and Mrs. Doug Watkins Jr. of Houston and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Forsyth of Water Valley would like to announce the engagement of their children, Amelia Leigh Myers and Brian Edward Forsyth.

Kelly-Moore

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Keith Kelly of Rienzi announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Leigh Kelly, to Dustin Grant Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wayne Moore of Rienzi.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Nasemond River High School in Suffolk, Va. He earned a bachelor's degree in corporate finance and a master's degree in business administration at Mississippi State University. He was a catcher on the baseball team and president of the M Club. He is an accounts manager at Spivey Rentals in Newport News, Va. He is also the assistant general manager for the Outer Banks Daredevils of the Coastal Plain Collegiate Baseball League.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Geraldine Iannone of Tupelo and the late Andrew Ferrell Lawhon of Verona, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Houston Caldwell.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Armstrong of Tupelo, and O.C. Webb of Belden and the late Elaine Webb.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Tupelo High School. She attended the University of Mississippi. She is a principle of Lawhon & Lee Insurance Agency.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Tupelo High School. He attended Northwest Mississippi Community College, where he was president of the rodeo team and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker.

Pickens-McMillan

Katherine Marie Pickens of Mooreville and Jon Patrick McMillan of Saltillo were united in marriage March 18, 2005, at the Mooreville Methodist Church. The Rev. Sammy Washburn and the Rev. Ever Jean Burt officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Pickens Jr. of Mooreville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William S. Pickens Sr. of Mooreville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie D. Chapman of Van Vleet.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick McMillan of Mooreville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Davis, and the late Truman Reynolds, all of Guntersville, Ala., and Nan Su McMillan of Mooreville and the late Don McMillan of Los Angeles.

The bride wore a short-sleeved lace coat over a strapless, A-line gown of ivory satin with beaded lace appliques. Her headpiece was a diamond and pearl tiara.

Chrissi Horton of Mooreville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amber Edwards, Christin Hardin and Kimberly Mitchell, all of Mooreville. Kaylee Pickens of Nettleton, niece of the bride, was flower girl. The bridesmaids wore tea-length gowns of lilac chiffon with halter necklines, ruched empire bodices and plum satin sashes which tied in the back.

Jason McMillan of Nashville, Tenn., brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Andy Bryant, brother of the bride, of Tupelo, Matt Justice of Saltillo and Jaymar Walls of Verona. Ushers were Richard Bryant, brother of the bride, of Starkville, and Jimmy “Ped” Hicks of Tupelo. Junior groomsmen were Chapman Bryant, nephew of the bride, of Tupelo, Lee Bryant, nephew of the bride, of Starkville, and Drew McMillan, nephew of the groom, of Nashville. Chandler Bryant of Starkville, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.

A reception followed at the Quality Inn in Tupelo.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple lives in Saltillo. The bride is a senior at the University of Mississippi and will receive a B.A. degree in English and liberal arts in May 2006. The groom is employed by E-Fire in Tupelo.
