Addie Forbus scored five of Amory’s six goals and also had an assist. Bailey Boyd added a goal and an assist.

Hatley’s comeback fell short in the fourth quarter against the 6-0 Lady Lions. Christy Willis led the way for Hamilton with 23 points, while Hatley’s Abby Cantrell finished with 15 points, and Lachelle Vance added 13 points. Hatley moved to 3-1 on the season.

Hamilton’s Ben Seely led all scorers with 39 points while teammate Troy Rowell added 10 points. Hatley’s Dewayne Word scored 33 points while Deion Hampton added 17 points.

(G) Nettleton 57, Okolona 30
Jabria Pounds led the way for Nettleton with 19 points, while Corian Whitfield added 14 points. Okolona’s Delgee Hicks was the only Lady Chieftain in double digits.

(B) Amory 58, West Point 56
Amory came from behind to beat West Point and start the season 3-0 with a 17-point fourth quarter. Amory’s Dario Robinson led all scorers with 19 points, while Nick Beeks was also in double digits with 13 points. Juan Davis led West Point with 15 points.

(B) Tremont 61, Smithville 49
Chase Tyra was the only Seminole in double digits with 23 points. Tremont’s Cody North led all scorers with 26 points.


(G) Nettleton 64, Amory 43
Kerina Harris scored 27 of Amory’s 43 points. Meredith Lee was the leading scorer for Nettleton with 16 points, while Jabria Pounds and Jayla Jones each added 15 points.

(B) Amory 75, Nettleton 50
The Panthers improved to 2-0 behind double-digit performances from four starters. A.J. Devauld led the way for Amory with 17 points. Dario Robinson added 15 points, while Jaylon Fair scored 13 and Nick Beeks scored 12.

(B) South Pontotoc 83, Smithville 60
The Seminoles had two starters in double digits – Dayon Moore with 12 points and Chase Tyra with 11.

(G) Hatley 52, Mantachie 44
Hatley improved to 3-0 behind 17 points from Jamelle Vance and 14 from Brianna Dobbs. Judi Beth McMillian was the only Lady Mustang in double digits with 17 points.

(B) Mantachie 57, Hatley 44
Dewayne Word led Hatley with 13 points. Mantachie’s Chris Bruff led all scorers with 17 points.

(G) Mantachie 64, Smithville 17
Macy McCain had 9 of Smithville’s 17 points. Mantachie’s Morgan Gray led all scorers with 17 points.

(B) Mantachie 54, Smithville 53
The Seminoles came back from a slow third quarter to score 18 in the fourth and threaten for the win. Chase Tyra led Smithville with 16 points, while Luke Blaylock added 10. Mantachie’s Dustin Carroll had 33 points for the Mustangs.
