Aberdeen Christmas parade rescheduled

ABERDEEN – Rain may have washed out Tuesday’s Christmas parade, but organizers will follow through again Monday with the rescheduled parade at 7 p.m.
So far five local floats and one from Itawamba Community College are scheduled to participate in the parade, along with marching bands from Aberdeen High School and Shivers Middle School.
There’s still time to submit a parade entry and anyone interested can contact the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce at 369-6488.
In addition to participants, Pioneer Community Hospital will have free hot chocolate and cookies at the intersection of Commerce and Meridian streets.
Grand marshals for the parade will be the local girl scouts.
