MCSO needs help in locating suspect

SMITHVILLE – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office needs to the public’s help in locating a suspect. On Dec. 6, the MCSO recovered a John Deere Z 645 zero turn riding lawn mower that had been stolen from the Smithville area on Oct. 28. The MCSO recovered the mower from a residence in Charleston, MS on December.


The sheriff’s department is asking if the public knows the whereabouts of 49-year-old Tommy Karl Cagle. His last known residence was Mantachie. Cagle is approximately 6 ft. tall and weighs approximately 230 lbs. Cagle is wanted for questioning in reference to this theft. Anyone with any information is asked to please contact the MCSO at 369-2468.
