Aberdeen woman accused of stealing checks

ABERDEEN – Felicia B. Sacus, 40, of Aberdeen, was arrested on Dec. 13by Monroe County Sheriff Office. Sacus was employed as a caregiver for the elderly, and is accused of stealing checks from the elderly and forging them.


The incidents took place between November and December 2012. Sacus is charged with 10 counts of Forgery.  She is currently being held at Monroe County Detention Center.

Sacus was previously arrested by the MCSO on Dec. 3 and charged with a separate case of uttering forgery. In the previous case, Sacus was a caregiver to the elderly when she was accused of stealing a check from her employer.  That incident occurred in November 2012. Sacus’ bond was set at $2,000 in that case by Justice Court Judge Robert Fowlkes.

    She shouldn’t be allowed to get the chance to be released on bail. To rob anybody is bad but to rob the elderly is worse.
