MCSO arrests five during busy weekend

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office made five felony arrests during the weekend, according to a statement from the department. Linda Freeman, 25, of Amory and Wesley Hampton, 35, of Amory were arrested Feb. 1. Deputies made arrests while serving a warrant at a residence on I Avenue in Amory. Freeman is charged with possession of marijuana with intent and child endangerment. Hampton is charged with possession of marijuana with intent.
Kenneth Roberts, 41, of Amory was arrested on Feb. 1 after a subject stop on I Avenue in Amory. Roberts is charged with possession of controlled substance-crack cocaine.
Michael Shane Laney, 41, of Blue Springs was arrested on Feb. 2 on a routine traffic stop at Liberty Road and Airline Road. Laney is charged with possession of methamphetamine. Nicholas Seidl, 25, of Nettleton was arrested on Feb. 3. He is charged with possession of a firearm by convicted felon. Bond has not been set for any of these subjects and they are all currently being housed at Monroe County Detention Center.
