Having been raised here, not more that 5 miles from that intersection I can say personally that there needs to be more visibility as to the end of the highway. Local people know the intersection well, but those travelling through our area do not have that luxury. A flashing light, a reflector bank, or something that would bring your attention to it before you get there. It wouldn’t hurt to have some notification that someone is exiting Hwy 8 onto Hwy 278 when you are travelling west from Greenwood Springs as well. That is a blind hill and an accident waiting to happen.

How many people are going to give to die and get hurt for the road crews to do something about it.

There are terrible accidents at this intersection all the time . The state really needs to put in rumble strips and red flashing lights . When it’s raining or foggy it’s almost impossible to know its coming up unless your familiar with the area .

This is ridiculous!! Why can’t speed bumps or flashing light be put up. To many people have lost their lives there.
