Liberty School November Meeting

Liberty Schools Thanksgiving meeting was held on November 20, 2007. Lil Grisham welcomed the 33 attendees. Ray Fitzgerald gave the invocation/blessing prior to the covered-dish dinner.

The Country Boys band provided entertainment for the evening. Members of the band-Leon Borden, Ripley (lead guitar and vocals; Lee Canerdy, Amory (rhythm guitar and vocal); Larry Dunahoo, Ripley (drummer); Bobby Hodges, New Albany (rhythm guitar and vocal); George Wilson, tupelo, (bass guitar).

Selections included in their program: Folsom Prison Blues, Alone Like Me, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, Elvira, Proud to be an Oakie from Muskogee, Good Hearted Woman, Crying My Heart Out over You, My Shoes Keep Walking Back to You, Dont let the Stars Get in Your Eyes, I Saw the Light. Thank you to the group for the evenings entertainment.

November birthdays: E.M. Boots Herring, and Etoyce Pilcher. Visitors for the evening were Dorothy Canerdy, Amory; Nana and Ralph Hill, New Albany; Mavienne Hodges, New Albany; and Anna and Sam Stiles, Ecru.

Stephen Fitzgerald, treasurer, gave the schools financial report.

The December meeting and Christmas covered-dish dinner will be held on Dec. 18 beginning at 6 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a $5 gift and also donate $5 to the school fund. Everyone is welcome
