Mrs. Erma Lee Pope will be 100 on February 12.  Her children, David and Julia Gilfert, Billy and Marilyn King, and four grandchildren are hosting a birthday celebration from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, in the Sherman Baptist Church Activities Building.  All friends and relatives are invited.  No gifts, please.

Mrs. Pope has been a member of Sherman Baptist Church for 88 years.

The WMU will meet Feb. 13 in the home of Jane Westmoreland at 12:30 p.m.

The Sherman Baptist Children’s fun night will be Wed., Feb. 18, with the theme “Fear Factor.”

A benefit for the Ard family is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28, at Sherman Baptist. An auction will be from 6 to 7 p.m., and The Landmarks will be in concert following the auction.

A baby shower for Brandy Boykin was held Sunday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Sherman Church of Christ.

The Sherman Church of Christ youth went to Hillcrest Church of Christ Sunday, Feb. 8, for the area wide youth devotional.

Next Sunday, the Sherman Church of Christ youth will have their youth devotional after evening services.

The Tri-County Baptist youth went to West Point Saturday, Feb. 7 for a youth rally.

The Tri-County Baptist Valentine Banquet will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, at 6:30 p.m.

The Waterbrook men’s retreat was held in Oxford Feb. 6 and 7, and the whole weekend was a rewarding one for the men.

Jay and Hope Roberson and their three children joined Waterbrook Church Sunday, Feb. 8.

A steak supper to benefit the Waterbrook youth will be held Saturday, Feb. 21, beginning at 5 p.m.

Waterbrook Church will celebrate its third anniversary Sunday, March 1.

Sympathy is extended to Annice Cannon in the death of her mother, Esther Mae Erby Cannon, 87, who died Monday, Feb. 2, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital Union County.
