 Congratulations to Amanda Waldron and to Byron Tate who were married at Thaxton Baptist Church on Saturday, May 16. Amanda is the daughter of Randal and Joyce (Williams) Waldron.

VBS at Hurricane Baptist Church will be held from June 8-12 beginning at 6:00p.m – 8:30p.m.

Kathy, Bradley and Brent Montgomery and Erica Montgomery attended the services at Rocky Branch Baptist Church in Calhoun County as guests of Bro. Troy, Melissa and Andrew Montgomery on Sunday, May 17. Bro. Troy celebrated his 30th birthday on May 16.

Freida and Don Browning visited with Emily Browning on Mother’s Day in Germantown, Tennessee. While there, they stopped with Freida’s aunt, Floyce Long at her home. Visiting Guide Browning recently was Evan Browning of Madison.

Sue Spears attended West Heights Baptist Church on Sunday night, May 17th to see the youth choir perform as her great-granddaughter Mary Kate Butler and great-nephew Brady Kyle were in the performance.

Ashley Berryhill, a senior at NPAC, was given a senior party at the home of Howard, Shelly, and Madison Carnes on Todd Road. Ashley is the daughter of Steven and Beth Berryhill and the granddaughter of Carolyn Carnes.

Warren Norwood attended the Pinedale School Reunion at Salem Methodist Church on May 16. He will celebrate his 83rd birthday on May 23.

Congratulations to Dr. Allison Burks Norwood of Etta who now is an optometrist in New Albany. She is the daughter of Terry and Debbie Norwood also of Etta and the granddaughter of the late Stanley (Sr.) and Esther Burks Norwood.

Faye and Roy Dillard attended the retirement reception for Sup. Conwill Duke on Sunday afternoon, May 17 at the Pontotoc Community House.

Jeannette (Sneed) Jones of Belden was the guest accordionist for the Smoke Top Band at the Liberty School Reunion in Union County.
