NAHS swep Vikings

The Lady Bulldogs remain undefeated on the year after defeating North Pontotoc 66-44 Friday night.

New Albany opened on a 6-0 run, but several turnovers by both squads made it 16-7 after the first with nine Lady ‘Dawg turnovers.

The Lady Vikings cut the deficit in the second, 22-15 before New Albany extended their lead with a 10-0 run to close out the first half.

Led by Jazmine Spears’ 10 third quarter points,  New Albany had a 21 point quarter, making it 50-30 heading into the fourth.

Micha Washington fouled out early in the fourth, while Kebrina Lucas led New albany with eight points in the frame.

Spears finished with 21 points, 14 rebounds, while Lucas scored 17 and Washington had 10 points, 10 rebounds, as New Albany is now 12-0 (3-0).

The Bulldogs picked up a three point win over the Vikings, 57-54. After trailing 29-27 at the half, New Albany took the lead in the third, scoring 22 points.

Tadarious Coburn led the ‘Dawgs with 24,while Devonte Berry had 10 points.

Ethan Tallent led North Pontotoc with 21 points.
