BMC to host pastors conference

Dr. Chuck Kelley and Dr. Chuck Herring will headline the annual Northeast Mississippi Pastors Conference, set for Monday, Sept. 13 at Blue Mountain College.


Kelley, president of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and Herring, pastor of Collierville First Baptist Church, will deliver the sermons at worship services led by the Rev. and Mrs. Jim Pinkston from Oakland Baptist Church in Corinth.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the conference will conclude at 3 p.m. Lunch is $5.

Five break-out sessions are scheduled for the day:

ν “Taking the Shepherd’s Staff into the Pulpit: How the Role of Shepherd Relates to Preaching” – led by Tommy Vinson of Collierville First Baptist Church.

ν “Taking Care of God’s Temple” – led by Chris Aldridge of Fredonia Baptist Church.

ν “Bible Preaching to Build God’s People” – led by Kenny Digby of the Alcorn Baptist Church.

ν Preaching to Develop Stewards and Promote Giving” – led by Ron Mitchell of Lowrey Memorial Baptist Church.

ν “Reaching People by Many Means” – led by Dyer Harbor of Oakland Baptist Church.
