Chandler, Reed join Gazette staff as advertising, circulation representatives

Two new staff members, one in advertising and the other in circulation, have joined the New Albany Gazette.

Heather Lynn Chandler, 26, of New Albany started work Tuesday as a retail advertising representative for the newspaper. Chandler will call on business in Union and Lee counties and will sell advertising for several Gazette publications as well as

Chandler this fall will complete her bachelor’s degree in marketing at the University of Mississippi in Oxford. She has an associate of arts degree from Itawamba Community College in Tupelo.

While attending Itawamba, Chandler worked as an internet banking specialist for BancorpSouth in Tupelo. She is a graduate of Tupelo High School.

Ashley Andrews Reed, 23, of New Albany joined the newspaper staff Wednesday as circulation manager. She will supervise distribution of various Gazette products and conduct marketing campaigns for both subscriptions and single-copy sales.

Reed also works part-time at Taylor’s Steak and Fish Restaurant. She also has worked at the Walmart Distribution Center and at Southern Traditions.

Reed is a graduate of New Albany High School and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College.

Chandler takes the place of Jennifer Jones, who resigned to return to school. Reed succeeds Tina Jackson Pratt, who resigned to take a position with Scholastic Magazines in Illinois.
