Sherman News, August 1, 2012

Sammy and Susan Wilbanks have visitors from Oslo, Norway.  Carol Sandbye and her 6-year-old son, Daniel, are visiting through August 3.  Carol was their exchange student in 1986, and they have kept in contact ever since.  Carol is now the prosecuting attorney for the Oslo Police Department.

While visiting, Daniel has enjoyed the Fairpark jumping waters and camping in a motor home.  Being from the city, Daniel has found he enjoys riding the lawn mower, shelling peas, and watering the garden.  The Norwegians adapted quickly to local Southern food, and okra is a new vegetable to Daniel. He also likes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and macaroni and cheese.

The Tri-County Baptist youth went to a youth retreat in Corinth on Saturday afternoon, July 28.

Brotherhood will be next Sunday, August 5, at 7 a.m., at Tri-County Baptist Church.
