Shirley Killough, 77


Shirley Ann Killough, 77, of Blue Springs, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

She was born in the Pinedale community on Nov. 20, 1935, the daughter of Garfield and Maggie Lou Childers Rutledge. She was a Baptist and a homemaker, and she loved tending her rose garden.

Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany with Bro. Raymond Bishop officiating. Burial was in Bethel Baptist Cemetery at Pinedale. Glenfield Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Killough and Terry Killough, both of Blue Springs; brothers, Roy Rutledge of Tyler Texas, and Jerry Rutledge of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Mabel Jurjevich of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Myra Killough of Tupelo; two grandsons, Joshua and Matthew Killough; and two great-granddaughters, Jessica and Karlei Killough.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Hayes Killough; and her brother, Robert Rutledge.

Pallbearers were Josh and Matthew Killough, Terry and John Jurjevich, Allen Killough and Jeff Moore.
