Benjamin Ashmore, 78

Benjamin H. Ashmore, 78, of Baldwyn, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley after a long illness.

He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was a retired auto parts salesman. He was a member of the Tri State Coin and Relic Club and enjoyed metal detecting.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Kesler Funeral Home in Baldwyn with Bro. David Haynes officiating. Kesler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Ashmore of Baldwyn; four daughters, Betty Mask (Mike) of Saltillo, Martha Sanders (Glen) of Germantown, Tenn., Donna Garrett (Ken) of Raleigh, Mo., and Cathy Mask (Ken) of Myrtle; two sons, Tim Ashmore (Dian) of Booneville and Frank Ashmore (Terri) of St. Louis, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Callie Ashmore; three brothers, Gene, Junior and George Ashmore; one sister, Mabel Nichols; and an infant daughter, Laura Susan.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
