Tracy Smith Upton, 41, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at her residence in New Albany.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1971, in Hamilton, Ala. She was a Christian and a member of Wells Chapel Church.
Services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the Wells Chapel Church in New Albany with Bro. Terry Rodgers and Bro. Michael Lumpkin officiating. Burial was in Wells Chapel Cemetery. Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home of Pontotoc was in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her parents, Joe and Nora Emilie Shotts Lumpkin; one son, William Upton, all of New Albany; two sisters, Karla Lumpkin Rodgers (Terry) and Kim Lumpkin McFarling (Steve); four brothers, Michael Lumpkin (Kathy), David Lumpkin (Bethany), Kyle Lumpkin (Kristina) and Joseph Lumpkin (Darcy); and 19 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Terry J. Smith; her grandparents, Clay and Kattie Shotts, Selmer and Mary Marvelene Smith, and J.F. and Overa Lumpkin.
Pallbearers were her brothers, her son and the men of Wells Chapel Church.
