Sylvia Thompson, 72

Sylvia Thompson, 72, of Blue Springs, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013.
She was born Jan. 11, 1941, in Pontotoc to Anthony McCord Sr. and Verna Holcomb McCord. She loved doing word search puzzles and spending time with her family. She was a member of The Church of Acts.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Bro. Charlie Ganey officiated. Burial was in the Endville Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by four children, Lisa Thompson, Donnise Keller (Eugene) and Dena Chunn, all of Blue Springs, and Randy Chunn of Pontotoc; a daughter-in-law, Judy Thompson of Louisiana; grandchildren, Wendy Thompson, Will Thompson, Eddie and Chelsey Thompson, Shawn and Jamie Thompson, all of Louisiana, Brandon Chunn of Pontotoc, Corey Whaley and Courtney Hicks, Trey Whaley and April Crumpton, Lauren and Brandin Bane, all of Blue Springs, Josh Williams and Bree Shestak, Embril Williams and Tony Stevens, all of Alabama, Natasha Smith of Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Destiny Thompson, Kaelyn Thompson, Brooklyn Crumpton, Dustin Thompson, Kason Thompson and Skylar Smith; sister, Charlotte Kingsley (Mike); brother, Larry McCord (Ann); very special niece, Vaniece Ivy (Scott); and special friends, Larry and Haley Mills, and Michael and Demetra Marcantel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Thomspon; a son, Steve “Tony” Thompson; her parents; and a brother, Junior McCord.
Pallbearers were Brandon Chunn, Josh Williams, Corey Whaley, Trey Whaley, Shawn Thompson and Eddie Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Knight, Michael Marcantel, Adam Coker and Kenneth Page.
