Bulldogs end season against Kosciusko

New Albany’s season came to an end after a series sweep by Kosciusko over the weekend.
The Whippets took a 1-0 series lead with a 5-2 win last Thursday.
Kosciusko built a 4-0 lead, scoring two runs in both the first and third innings before New Albany scored its first run in the fourth inning. The Bulldogs were held to three hits in the game and committed five errors in the loss.
Ben Foster had the loss on the mound for the Bulldogs, while Ryan Rigby had the win for Kosciusko as well as multiple hits.
The Bulldogs held and early 3-0 advantage in Saturday’s game two before the Whippets came back to win the game and take the series, 5-3. Kosciusko tied the game in the third inning and scored two runs in the fourth to take the lead.
Brandon Montgomery had multiple hits for the Bulldogs in the loss.
New Albany’s season ended with a 16-14 record. Kosciusko will face Tishomingo County next.
