Q.C. Williamson, 83

Quincey Charles “Q.C.” Williamson, 83, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at Graceland Care Center in New Albany.
He was born Jan. 12, 1930, in New Albany to Lester Williamson and Lula Watts Williamson. He joined Pleasant Grove Church at an early age. In 1952 he moved to Milwaukee and worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years. He married Bertha Lewis in 1974. He retired from the postal service in 1985 and returned to New Albany. He was ordained a deacon at Pleasant Grove Church in 2007. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in New Albany. The Rev. Thomas Wilson officiatee. Burial was in Milwaukee. Serenity Funeral Home of New Albany was in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Lewis Williamson of New Albany; five children, Janet Williamson, Darrel Williamson, Larry Williamson and Leona Lewis, all of Milwaukee, and Leone (Diane) Lewis of New Albany; one brother, Lester (Albertha) Williamson of Milwaukee; two sisters, Vivian (Fred) Carter and Lartha Blackwell, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold and Robert Williamson; and two sisters, Elaine Hyler and Ezell Williamson.
