William Foster, 75

William “Bill” Harvey Foster Sr., 75, of Blue Springs, died Friday, May 3, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 9, 1938, in New Albany to John Lacy Foster and Nettie Mae Fields Foster. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a retired employee of Rebel Gas. He was a member and deacon of the Fairfield Presbyterian Church.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Fairfield Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tom Hewitt officiating. Burial was in the Fairfield Presbyterian Church Cemetery. United Funeral Service in New Albany was in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eloise Adams Foster of Blue Springs; a daughter, Kim Coker (Bud) of Blue Springs; two sons, Billy Foster and Jeff Foster, both of Blue Springs; and six grandchildren, Celeste Foster, Maeghan Coker, Selena Foster, Tyler Coker, Weston Lane Foster and Macey Shea Foster.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Cora Lee Smith and Frances Oaks; and five brothers, J.B. Foster, Sam Foster, George Foster, Edward Foster and Robert Foster.
Pallbearers were Carl Sullivan, Gary Adams, Pat O’Callaghan, Mike Gentry, Bill O’Callahan and Larry Foster. Carol Price and Melanie Muller were honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sanctuary Home Hospice, Tupelo, Miss.
In honor of Mr. Foster, United Funeral Service Inc. flew the flag of the United States Air Force at the funeral home during visitation and service.
