Herman Callicutt, 85

Herman Allen Callicutt, 85, of Myrtle, died Friday, May 24, 2013, at Graceland Care Center in New Albany.
He was born Oct. 5, 1927, in Myrtle, to King A. and Mary Kerr Callicutt. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired in 1989 from New Albany Light, Gas and Water Department as a lineman.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Glenfield Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Butler officiating. Burial was at Glenfield Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Callicutt of Myrtle; son, Shane Callicutt (Radene) of Salem, Mo.; daughters, Ann Richardson (Lonnie) of Seymour, Tenn., and Kimberly Ezell (Brian) of Hurricane; two sisters, Katherine Gregory of Ellijay, Ga., and Martha Moss (Terry) of Pascagoula; and 15 grandchildren, Austin Haynie, Chandler Rodgers, Jaden Ezell, Kagen Ezell, Shelby Rath, Phoebe Callicutt, Ayva Callicutt, Samantha Wells, Tammy Wells, Molli Wells, Destin Wells, Walker Dodson, Leslie Richardson, Megan Richardson and Darcie Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Margie Dodson and Kelly Ingle; and a brother, Kenneth Callicutt.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Gregory, Steve Callicutt, Gerry Callicutt, Shane McMillen, Austin Haynie and Chandler Rodgers. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Dale Baker, Charles Jeter, and Larry Chism.
