ICC-Tupelo to hold orientation session

Itawamba Community College will host an orientation session designed exclusively for prospective adult students from 5-7 p.m., June 20, in the Student Services Building at the Tupelo Campus (2176 South Eason Blvd.).
The come-and-go session will enable adult students to become familiar with ICC and register for fall semester classes.
Highlights will include meeting with a counselor, registration, discussion of ACT and placement scores, financial aid application, fees and ID card. Presentations will focus on how to choose a career, how to be a successful student, the GO2ICC portal and Canvas and a general information session. Child care services will be provided.
Participants will have an opportunity to connect to a better future and a better life, according to Buddy Collins, vice president of Student Services. “Many of ICC’s adult learners take advantage of a wide variety of eLearning (online) opportunities, which enable them to take classes from the comfort of their home and do their work at a time that is most convenient for them. ICC’s schedule also includes academic as well as career and technical classes at the College’s locations in Fulton, Tupelo and Belden so that students can take advantage of options which best suit their needs.”
