Jimmy Mauney, 73

Jimmy Dean Mauney, 73, of Blue Mountain, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at his home in Blue Mountain.
He was born June 24, 1939, to Manuel Earl and Mary Frances Heavener Mauney. He was a member of Ripley Assembly of Christ. He was plant manager for Mississippi Chemical Corp. He loved his lawnmowers, John Deere tractors and woodworking.
Services were at 3 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Street, Bro. Ned Bryant, Rusty Mauney and Marilee Mauney officiating. Burial wasin the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery in Blue Mountain.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Mauney of Blue Mountain; three daughters, Carol Keup (Tim), Sharon Windham (Larry) and Andreanne Brown, all of Blue Mountain; two sons, Mike Mauney (Marilee) of Murray, Ky., and Jimmy Dale Mauney (Robyn) of Blue Mountain; one sister, Sarah Clark (Richard) of Blue Mountain; 10 grandchildren, Kisha Hodges of Gulfport, Sherrie Merritt (Jason) of New Albany, Samantha, Davey and Kacie Mauney, all of Murray, Ky., Rusty Mauney (Marsha) of Clarksville, Tenn., Katie Linville (Bryan), Bethanne Waldon (Eric), Maggie Mauney (Steven) and Ryan Windham, all of Blue Mountain; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers were Rusty Mauney, Ryan Windham, Jonathan Barnes, Keileen Hodges, Jimi Mauney and Vernon Reed. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Charles Elliott, Edward Vandygriff, Ronnie Dunnam, Stan Irwin and NMMC Hospice.
