Mary Denley, 76

Mary Evelyn Denley, 76, of Thaxton, formerly of Greenville, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
She was born Aug. 9, 1936, to Thurman and Lottie Jenkins. She was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and traveling.
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday,, June 11, at Hurricane Baptist Church. Bro. Philip Brock and Bro. Kevin Merritt will officiate. Burial was in Jenkins Cemetery in Sumner. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc was in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her children, Louise Hall of St. Paul, Neb., Doris Gentry (Paul) of Greenville, Robin Denley (Crystal) of Vilonia, Ark., Phillip Denley of Palmet, Neb.; her siblings, Edward Jenkins of Stwart, Wennie Pennington (Bob) of Thaxton, Penny McAtee of D’Iberville, Lizzie Moffett of Jena, La., Ellen Russell of Byhalia, Ellis Jenkins (Rosemary) of Greenville and Martha Faye Dean (Dewayne) of Oakland; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Denley, and her parents.
Pallbearers were Kenny Pennington, Scott Russell, Clayton Russell, Gary Denley, Butch Aven and Henry Pennington. Honorary pallbearers were Ryan Hall and David Gentry.
