Holiday downtown

Downtown is being decked out in holiday wreaths and that means one of the area’s most successful events is coming up this Sunday.

The New Albany Main Street Association’s annual Holiday Open House will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday
Between 2,000 and 3,000 people are expected to turn out to see the holiday decorations, enjoy some refreshments and poke around the two-dozen businesses that are participating in the event.
This event has become so popular that it not only draws people from Union County, but also folks from Oxford and Tupelo to check out the goods and services that can be bought here in New Albany.
New Albany has a vibrant downtown that is the envy of many communities in the state. Because the vitality of our downtown is a key to the success of our community, the Gazette participates by providing heavily discounted promotional space for the event to the Main Street Association. The promotional pages will appear in Friday’s Gazette.
Events like the Holiday Open House help our local economy by keeping our money at home and even attracting some from our neighboring communities.
We’re proud to be a part of the New Albany Main Street Association and its Holiday Open House.
