Museum seeks new Faulkner-inspired art for September exhibit

The Union County Heritage Museum is asking area artists to submit a piece of artwork for the September Folks, Art and Faulkner exhibit.

The work should be based on some part of the Nobel-Prize-winning novelist William Faulkner (or some other writer, if so inspired).

Two- and three-dimensional work is welcome. The work must be submitted by Sept. 1, or the artist must at least inform museum staff he or she is submitting one. No canvases larger than 30” by 40” can be accepted.

There will be a purchase award for the museum collection from this exhibit.

The exhibit and sale will open Sunday, Sept. 21, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
